Admission Schedule

Communication Arts Admission Assumption University organizes admissions in multiple rounds throughout the year, with entrance exams, result announcements, and class start dates scheduled accordingly. Results are typically released the following day.

Admission Requirements

Applicants to the Communication Arts Admission Assumption University programs should review the eligibility criteria for their chosen program and intake period. Full requirements are provided in the official application form and each program’s materials.

Regular Applicants

‘AS’ Level and/or ‘A’ Level as a Private Candidate:

Applicants must submit GCE ‘AS’ Level and/or GCE ‘A’ Level at least different 3 subjects, with minimum Grade of C. Applicants also have to submit an official high school transcript of grade 10 or its equivalence with at least 1 academic year OR

International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP):

  • IB Diploma with at least 24 points
  • IB Diploma Course Results (IBCR) with at least grade 4 for five different subjects

GED:

  • Applicants taking the GED before April 1, 2021 must submit the total score of at least 600 with official high school transcript of grade 10 or its equivalence with at least 1 academic year.
  • Applicants taking the GED from April 1, 2021 onwards must submit the total score of at least 660 with the most recent educational record with supporting documents.

Original official and electronic score of TOEFL(iBT) or IELTS (Academic) or PTE (Academic) or Duolingo with at least 2 years’ validity (if any)

  • TOEFL score of 60 (iBT) or above or 500 (pBT) or above with a validity of 2 years.
  • IELTS score of 5.0 and above in overall bands with a validity of 2 years.
  • SAT (Mathematics) score of 500 or above with validity of 2 years.
  • SAT (Reading and Writing) score of 600 or above with a validity of 2 years.

Remark:The University will consider the applications with a TOEFL score of 60 (iBT) or above or 500 (pBT) or above or an IELTS of 5.0 or above to be exempted from the English Placement Test and English Intensive Course(s). SAT (Mathematics) score of 500 or above are exempted from the Mathematics Placement Test and Mathematics Intensive course or Pre-Calculus. SAT (Reading and Writing) score of 600 or above are exempted from English Placement Test and Intensive English Course.

  • A photocopy of High School Certificate or Diploma (if graduated)
  • A verification letter of current student status (if studying)
  • A photograph (450 x 350 pixels) in school uniform or in formal dress (shirt)
  • A photocopy of the Thai identification card or passport (for overseas students)
  • A photocopy of one’s current residency document (for thai students)

International Students

International students must meet the same academic qualifications as regular applicants, including the submission of high school transcripts and, if applicable, proof of English proficiency. Additional support is provided for visa applications, accommodation, and arrival services to ensure a smooth transition into university life in Thailand.

Additional process:

Before starting the admission process, please make sure you are aware of the whole visa application process in your country. You can read more about visa matters under on the link or contact the Office of the University Registration. Students may also contact the nearest Royal Thai Embassy/Consulate for more details. The visa processing time varies from country to country. Hence, students are recommended to apply as early as possible.Handbook for visa

New students are recommended to arrive 10 days prior. AU offers a free pick-up service to students who arrive during the official pick-up period.

When it come to an accommodation to rent is considered affordable price. Also there are many option to choose from. If you do not already have your purpose of an accommodation situation settled, AU will assist new students find and reserve accommodation. You can read more about to accommodation.here

Applications must be submitted through our online application form or via email by sending required documents to one of our services. Also provide us your desirable faculty and major you would like to study. Once your application has been registered we will send you a confirmation email

An invoice for the first term fees will be attached to the acceptance letter, listing payment and bank details.

Students are required to registration for course and Induction Program is to help new students adjust and feel comfortable in the new environment, inculcate in them the ethos and culture of the institution, help them build bonds with other students and faculty members, and expose them to a sense of larger purpose and self exploration.

Transfer Students

Assumption University accepts transfer students from institutions where English is the principal language of instruction. In addition to the above, transfer students must also submit :

  • The course was completed at an institution accredited by the Civil Service Commission;

Should have at least a GPA of 2.00 out of 4.00 scale; 

  • Diplomas of any sort do not qualify.
  • The institution must have at least a standard 4-year degree completion.
  • The course content is equivalent to that specified in the University’s curriculum;
  • The course must have been taken within 5 years from the time of application;
  • Only a course with an earned grade of “C” or higher in a general education course or an earned grade of “B” or higher in a professional core course will be considered as transfer credit depending on the dean’s final approval;
  • Transferred credits are not allowed to be more than half of the total credits of the desired program. In accordance with the Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation’s regulations.
  • The transfer fee will be charged based on actual credit rate (@ 1 credit)

You can apply to transfer credit by completing the Transfer form and attaching official transcript and course description in English.

Process at least 3 weeks after completed documents and Admission officer will confirm with you via email or mobile phone.

The Dean judgment is final and all documents to the university will not be retuned to the student

English Placement Based on IELTS/TOEFL Scores

Students who have submitted IELTS or TOEFL iBT scores will be placed into an appropriate English course level based on their band/score. The chart below shows the equivalent course level and grade based on official results.
