Assumption University of Thailand celebrated the successful completion of its Creativity for Sustainable Solutions certificate program with a formal closing ceremony on October 18, 2025, at the Hua Mak Campus. Presiding over the ceremony, Rev. Bro. Dr. Sirichai Fonseka, President of AU, delivered closing remarks and presented certificates to 30 graduates who completed the program.
Asst. Prof. Dr. Nutthaphut Pandjad, Dean of the Albert Laurence School of Communication Arts, hosted the event, congratulated participants on their achievements, and presented eco-friendly tote bags—each equivalent to 13 recycled plastic bottles—as souvenirs to underscore AU’s commitment to sustainability.
Earlier in the day, participants delivered final presentations developed throughout the course, addressing real-world challenges in nightlife sustainability, workplace wellness, safe cities, community tourism, food surplus utilization, circular economy, and green community markets. Projects were evaluated by an industry and civic judging panel:
Seven teams presented sustainability-driven campaigns aligned with the SDGs, including responsible nightlife models, workplace well-being systems, safer urban lighting and reporting points, community tourism in Pak Kret driven by “Friendfluence” storytelling, child-focused nutrition from food surplus with a target SROI of 133.45 THB per 1 THB invested, circular seafood byproducts into cat treats supporting coastal
communities, and a prototype Green & Good Market for low-carbon consumer behaviors.
The event reaffirmed AU’s mission to foster creativity that translates into measurable social and environmental impact through collaboration between academia, industry, and community partners.
